Aim for presence, not projection
At work, the goal is to smell good to the people close to you, not to the whole floor. Choose a scent you enjoy up close and apply it lightly. Colleagues should notice it when they lean in, not from across the room.
Fresh and clean families are the easy default
For most offices, especially in warm months, these directions work well:
- Aquatic and aromatic: sea notes, lavender and mint feel clean and unobtrusive.
- Fresh spicy: citrus with a touch of warm spice feels polished for meetings.
- Keep rich oud, amber and sweet tonka scents for evenings and occasions.
Apply for an air-conditioned day
Air-conditioned rooms are cooler and drier, which changes how a scent sits on skin. One or two sprays on pulse points such as the neck and wrists are usually enough for an Eau de Parfum. Apply after moisturising, let it dry naturally, and avoid re-spraying at your desk.
A simple office pick
From the VikAa first edition, First Light is the easiest office choice, with notes of sea air, lavender and cedarwood. Velvet Ember, with yuzu, nutmeg and sandalwood, works well when you want something a little warmer for client meetings or evening plans after work.
